How much will my web site cost?
The cost of your website depends on several factors. Some of these factors include, how many pages you are going to have, if you will be selling products on your site, whether you need graphics designed, and whether you will need custom applications created for your site. Other factors will be whether you have a domain registered or if you require hosting. While we occasionally offer promotional packages, we strive to create custom sites designed specifically for your individual needs. The time frame will depend on the size of your site and the complexity of the custom features that you may request. Sites can take as little as one week or as long as 2 months.
Web hosting is when you are offered a location to place your web site and an address for people to access your site with their web browser and an email server for you to send and receive email messages. Windrich DotCom, Inc. provides web hosting for our clients or you may choose to use your own hosting. If you choose your own hosting, once we complete your website you will need to provide us with your web hosting ftp login, username, and password so that we can upload your website for you.
Yes! We design custom e-commerce sites. Your site can easily be managed by you through an admin panel. You will be able to add and delete products with images, and prices, and manage the inventory as well. We will help you get started from beginning to end and will train you how to manage your site. Some of our customers have requested the ability to upload their own images to a photo gallery, while others have requested the ability to update certain sections of their website by themselves through a web based administrative tool. No matter what your need, we can help you, from simple to complex web forms to your database driven web applications.
We offer two types of maintenance packages. For our clients who require frequent changes, our monthly maintenance package typically is the best value. For the monthly maintenance package, you pay a specified monthly fee for unlimited basic changes to content wording, contact information, text colors, email addresses, phone numbers, and uploading images. For those with less frequent changes, the "as needed" maintenance package may be preferred. The "as needed maintenance package" is charged at a slightly higher rate but is only paid when you need changes and then the fee activates one month of unlimited basic changes.
Additional pages can be added to your website at a per page charge which will be included in your proposal.
Although we can create a total flash website, we avoid this practice for our business customers in order to make sure your website will rank well in search engines. Information in Flash is often invisible to search engines and they are difficult for visitors to use. If you are navigating through a web site created in Flash, you will notice that you cannot use the browser back button as it is disabled. You cannot highlight contact information to paste in your contact manager. You will not be able to increase the font size to make the text more readable. Another feature that is disabled is deep linking to a page within a Flash site from an external site. Remember that these links to specific pages affect a site's visibility in search engines. If a viewer has disabled Flash to avoid flash based advertising, your entire site will be disabled. While we believe that Flash has its place in web design, and we use it to create exciting personal web sites, we do not recommend creating a total Flash site for our business customers for these reasons.
